Executive Chef Shelli Bosgoed

Bosgoed's career as a top chef began in 2008 when she first took on the role of  'Sous Chef', and seamlessly prepared a meal for 250 guests. After numerous compliments and recognition for her ability to coordinate unique flavours, Bosgoed chose to decline her acceptance into a nursing program to pursue an alternate science; her passion for food.

After completing her culinary training at Niagara College, Bosgoed received her Red Seal designation. After completing her professional program, she launched a catering company to share her cooking artistry with foodies all over Ontario.

Growing up on farm, Chef Shelli has a genuine appreciation for local produce. She works diligently to ensure local, fresh ingredients are the inspiration for the majority of her delicacies. As a guest at Long Point Eco-Adventures, you will have the opportunity to taste a variety of Bosgoed's creations. Visit our Marshview Patio page for our lunch menu, designed by Chef Shelli herself.

"She's Chief, Not Chef"

In the crux of launching her appearance into world of culinary, Chef Shelli gave birth to her son, Edison. He has become her true partner in crime, and most influential taste tester. Edison prefers to call his mom 'Chief' Shelli, simply because she rules the kitchen. Bosgoed succeeds in every element of her life; she impeccably balances her time as a full time mom, along with her investment in strengthening her career as a chef. We are lucky to have her here at Long Point Eco-Adventures; her adoration for food as a science is translated in each dish she plates.

"If you are anywhere near Port Rowan, do yourself a favour and stop out at Long Point Eco-Adventures for a burger and fries. It's honestly the best burger I've ever had - and I've eaten a lot of burgers!"
