About Us
Adventure with Purpose
At Long Point Eco-Adventures, we believe the best adventures don’t just connect you to the outdoors; they help protect it. Nestled along the UNESCO-designated Long Point Biosphere Reserve, our resort blends unforgettable outdoor experiences with a commitment to conservation, sustainability, and eco-tourism.
Since opening our doors, we’ve been dedicated to creating a destination where adventure seekers, nature lovers, and families can explore, unwind, and reconnect — all while knowing their stay supports the land, water, and wildlife around us.
The Long Point Eco-Adventures Team

Born from Passion. Built for Preservation.
Long Point Eco-Adventures was founded by Dave Pond and Mike McArthur, inspired by their deep connection to the Long Point Biosphere Reserve. What began as a 37-acre tobacco farm has been transformed into a thriving eco-tourism destination overlooking the Turkey Point Marsh. Guided by ecological research and local wildlife experts, our mission has always been the same: protect this remarkable ecosystem while creating opportunities for guests to experience it in meaningful, unforgettable ways.

Rooted in Conservation
Adventure and conservation go hand in hand here. From eco-friendly accommodations to sustainable practices across our property, we’re constantly working to minimize our footprint while maximizing our positive impact.
One of our proudest initiatives is our on-site Turtle Hatchery, developed in partnership with the Long Point Biosphere Reserve. Here, guests have the chance to learn about species at risk and even witness hatchlings making their first journey into the marsh — a powerful reminder of why protecting these ecosystems matters.
When you stay with us, you’re not just booking a getaway — you’re supporting research, conservation, and education efforts that safeguard this rare and fragile environment.
