  • Booking Agent

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking a cheerful, outgoing and reliable salesperson to join our Front Office team. The Booking Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all clients over the phone and in the Welcome Centre. The Booking Agent is the first point of contact with our clients both over the phone and email so the successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills and willingness to assist guests with any requests that may arise. A high level of initiative and ability to work as a team is essential to being a Long Point Eco-Adventures employee. 

     

    The #1 priority will be to ensure that all Glamping Suites are fully booked.

     

    Booking Agents responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

    • Handle all phone, e-mail and in-person inquiries and complete reservations with accuracy
    • Update 3rd Party Booking Site: AirBNB, Expedia.ca and Booking.com
    • Ensure clients complete all necessary Waiver Form info and process all payments 
    • Sell Vacation packages over the phone and via email, and create custom packages to cater to each guest inquiring.
    • Call and email potential Corporate Clients in an effort to promote Long Point Eco Adventures
    • Use sales techniques to upsell rooms and activities to guests 
    • Maintain the highest level of customer service, and communicating with guests in a positive and professional manner 
    • Perform other duties as requested 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum a High School Diploma is required; preference given to those currently enrolled in or graduates of a recognized college/university 
    • Must have very strong communication skills including telephone and email etiquette 
    • Able to multitask and prioritize in a high-paced environment is very important 
    • Must be friendly and professional at all times 
    • Experience working with computers
    • Able to stay calm and make decisions during stressful situations 
    • Able to work well with others for long periods of time during a shift 
    • Must have a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy 
    • A strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must 


    Booking Agents must be available to work days, weekends, and holidays. Our operating season is from April 1st – Nov 15th. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work weekdays in September and October.

  • Front of House Manager

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking a professional, hard-working and reliable individual to join our team. The FOH Manager will be 2nd in command in our Restaurant, following our Food & Beverage Manager’s specifications and guidelines. We will be opening for breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering. With a large renovation happening, there is opportunity to grow within the business. The successful candidate will manage daily restaurant activities, reporting, and restaurant employees. A high level of initiative to work as a team is essential to being a Long Point Eco-Adventures employee.

     

    The #1 priority will be to contribute to building an amazing experience for our Guests at ‘The Marshview Restaurant & Patio’

     

    FOH Manager responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Manage customer complaints in a professional manner. 
    • Help Food & Beverage Manager with reporting.
    • Knowledge of all menus; breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering.
    • Point of Sale Knowledge; training provided. 
    • Payment Processor Knowledge; training provided. 
    • Resourcefully solve issues and take control problems in the absence of the F&B Manager. 
    • Manage and train front of house staff alongside the F & B Manager in a positive way.
    • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulation and safety standards.
    • Keep watch of inventory and ordering.
    • Plan ahead for busy weeks of catering and service.
    • Use positive, open and appropriate communication with all staff members.
    • Act as an ambassador for Long Point Eco-Adventures both on and off site.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum a High School Diploma is required; preference given to those currently enrolled in or graduates of a recognized college/university. 
    • Candidates must be 18 years old on or before April 1st and Smart Serve Certified
    • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
    • 3+ years of restaurant experience.
    • Management experience.
    • Strong organization and time management skills.
    • Attention to details.
    • Thrives in a high-pressure environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Positive and self-motivated.
    • Passionate about the restaurant industry.

     

    The FOH Manager is required to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. All applicants must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Successful candidates must be available for training within the week of March 1-7, 2021.

  • Prep/Line Cook

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals to join our team. Line/Prep Cooks will join our kitchen staff to prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering for our guests. The successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills and will need to be on-time and reliable. A high level of desire to work as a team is essential to being a Long Point Eco-Adventures employee. 

     

    The #1 priority will be to contribute to building an amazing experience for our Guests at ‘The Marshview Restaurant & Patio’

     

    Line/Prep Cook responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

    • Able to work early mornings, Primarily for, but not limited to, breakfast service.
    • Work in a clean and efficient way.
    • Perform opening, closing and cleaning tasks as instructed.
    • Answer, report and follow up with Head Chef
    • Keep workspace, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitized.
    • Maintain a positive attitude towards other kitchen staff and customers.
    • Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.
    • Report any issues/problems from any department to department heads and/or managers when appropriate.
    • Use positive, open and appropriate communication with all staff members. 
    • Act as an ambassador for Long Point Eco-Adventures both on and off site. 
    • Perform other duties as requested. 

     

    Qualifications:

    • Have knowledge of cooking and food preparation techniques.
    • Has, or is willing to obtain, Food Handler’s Certificate.
    • Have the ability to follow recipes.
    • Cooking experience including prep cook or line cook is strongly recommended
    • A strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must.

     

    Line/Prep Cooks are required to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. All applicants must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Successful candidates must be available for training within the week of March 1-7, 2021.

  • Office Concierge

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking cheerful, outgoing and reliable individuals who enjoy customer relations to join our Front Office team. The Concierges will be the main point of contact for guests arriving on-site. The successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills and willingness to assist guests with any requests that may arise. A high level of initiative and ability to work as a team is essential to being a Long Point Eco-Adventures employee. 


    The #1 priority will be to elevate the Guests experience from check-in to check-out.


    Concierge responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Knowledge of daily activities and events happening on-site to assist customers when asked
    • Ensure inventory and cash is balanced on a regular basis
    • Handle in-person inquiries and complete reservations with accuracy and process payments 
    • Greet all guests with a friendly smile and willingness to assist with any request 
    • Maintain the highest level of customer service, and communicate with guests in a positive and professional manner 
    • Check guests in and out of the accommodations
    • Promote & Assist with the renting of paddle boards, mountain bikes, and kayaks
    • Ensure all activity waivers have been signed
    • Sell merchandise from the Tuck Shop
    • Keep Office in a clean and orderly manner at all times
    • Perform other duties as requested 

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum of a High School Diploma required; preference given to those with a diploma or degree in HR
    • Must have very strong communication skills including telephone and email etiquette 
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-paced environment is very important

    The Concierge’s must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays from May 1st – Nov. 15th. At this time, Long Point Eco-Adventures is hiring 1 full time Concierge, and 2 part time Concierges.
  • Crew Member: Cleaner

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals to join our team. Crew Members in the Cleaning Department will be responsible for the daily cleaning of our Glamping Suites and Pods. A desire to work as a team is essential to being a Long Point Eco-Adventures employee. Successful candidates will be punctual, professional, detail oriented and possess a positive work attitude.

     

    The #1 priority is the Guests overnight experience staying in our Glamping Suites & Pods

     

    Crew Members (Cleaning Dept) responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Arrive on-site on time and ready to work
    • Service/clean all guest accommodations on-site
    • Keep cleaning facilities in order
    • Keep site facilities in order 
    • Maintain the highest level of customer service while communicating with guests 
    • Report any issues/problems to department heads
    • Use positive, open and appropriate communication with all staff members and management
    • Act as an ambassador for Long Point Eco-Adventures both on and off site 
    • Perform other duties as requested

  • Crew Member: Tour Guide

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals to join our team. Crew Members in the Activity Department are focused on providing an exceptional experience to all clients. The successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, great communication skills and a willingness to assist guests or fellow employees wherever possible. Job responsibilities include facilitating a variety of activities:, Axe Throwing Tours, Paddle Boarding Tours, leading team-building initiatives, kids observatory tour, Other Adventure Sports and promoting 3rd Party Rental Services..

     

    The #1 priority will be providing an exceptional outdoor experience to our Guests

     

    Crew Member in the Activity Dept. responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Properly lead, demonstrate and safely guide guests through a variety of tours  
    • Maintain the highest level of customer service and communicating with guests in a positive and professional manner 
    • Inspect and store all gear and equipment on a daily basis 
    • Report any incidents and complete Daily Guide Logs, Equipment Logs and Accident Reports when necessary
    • Report any issues/problems from any department to department heads, managers when appropriate
    • Use positive, open and appropriate communication with all staff members 
    • Act as an ambassador for Long Point Eco-Adventures both on and off site 
    • Perform other duties as requested 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum a High School Diploma is required; preference given to those currently enrolled in or graduates of a recognized college/university 
    • Candidates must be 18 years old on or before April 1st 
    • Able to effectively communicate with both adults and children in group and individual settings comfortably 
    • Able to work well with others for long periods of time during a shift 
    • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and personality are a must 
    • Have current or willing to receive First Aid/CPR 

     

    Crew Members are required to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. All crew members must be able to work long hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, and must be in good physical shape. Crew Members must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. from May 1st – Nov. 15th.   • Crew Member: Maintenance

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals to join our team. Crew Members in the Maintenance Dept. will be reliable with a keen eye for details plus possess a positive attitude, take direction easily, and have maintenance related skills.

     

    The #1 priority is to ensure that the Eco Grounds are in pristine condition for Guests

     

    Crew Member in the Maintenance Dept. responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Follow the weekly maintenance checklist in a timely and diligent manner
    • Property maintenance including mowing grass, trimming, gardening, weed wacking, etc.
    • Performing minor fixes such as repairing broken locks or broken water lines, fixing broken deck boards, 
    • Manage on-site Garbage process
    • Performing cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
    • Cleaning out firepits at the accommodations
    • Setting up fires so that they are ready to be lit in the evening
    • Chopping firewood
    • General Site Clean up
    • Check functionality of safety systems (i.e fire alarm)
    • Collaborate with maintenance manager, workers and other professionals during renovations
    • Perform other duties as requested 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum a High School Diploma is required; preference given to those currently enrolled in or graduates of a recognized college/university 
    • Candidates must be 18 years old on or before April 1st 
    • Able to work well with others for long periods of time during a shift 
    • Have experience using hand and electrical tools
    • Must have a strong attention to detail 
    • Physical Stamina and Dexterity
    • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and personality are a must
