  • Prep/Line Cook

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals to join our team. Line/Prep Cooks will join our kitchen staff to prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering for our guests. The successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills and will need to be on-time and reliable. A high level of desire to work as a team is essential to being a Long Point Eco-Adventures employee. 

     

    The #1 priority will be to contribute to building an amazing experience for our Guests at ‘The Marshview Restaurant & Patio’

     

    Line/Prep Cook responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

    • Able to work early mornings, Primarily for, but not limited to, breakfast service.
    • Work in a clean and efficient way.
    • Perform opening, closing and cleaning tasks as instructed.
    • Answer, report and follow up with Head Chef
    • Keep workspace, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitized.
    • Maintain a positive attitude towards other kitchen staff and customers.
    • Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.
    • Report any issues/problems from any department to department heads and/or managers when appropriate.
    • Use positive, open and appropriate communication with all staff members. 
    • Act as an ambassador for Long Point Eco-Adventures both on and off site. 
    • Perform other duties as requested. 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum of a High School Diploma is required; preference given to those currently enrolled in or graduates of a recognized college/university. 
    • Candidates must be 18 years old on or before April 1st. 
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
    • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Have knowledge of cooking and food preparation techniques.
    • Has, or is willing to obtain, Food Handler’s Certificate.
    • Have the ability to follow recipes.
    • Cooking experience including prep cook or line cook is strongly recommended
    • A strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must.

     

    Line/Prep Cooks are required to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. All applicants must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Successful candidates must be available for training within the week of March 1-7, 2021.

  • Crew Member: Night Warden

    Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking reliable and hard-working individuals to join our team! Night Warden’s are responsible for the overnight noise control, safety concerns, and maintenance needs on-site. The successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, good communication skills and willingness to assist guests with any requests that may arise. A high level of initiative and ability to work as a team is essential to being a Long Point Eco-Adventures employee. 

     

    Night Warden responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

    • Perform routine maintenance duties 
    • Resolve any immediate issues and report concerns and problems to day manager
    • Document all necessary maintenance tasks via provided worksheets 
    • Maintain the highest level of customer service, and communicate with guests in a positive and professional manner 
    • Use positive, open and appropriate communication with all clients and staff members 
    • Act as an ambassador for Long Point Eco-Adventures both on and off site 
    • Perform other duties as requested 

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Minimum a High School Diploma is required; preference given to those currently enrolled in or graduates of a recognized college/university 
    • Candidates must be 18 years old on or before April 1st 
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment 
    • Must have a strong attention for detail and highly organized 
    • Must have an outgoing and cheerful personality and comfortable engaging with guests 
    • Must be friendly and professional at all times 
    • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and personality are a must 
    • Have current or willing to receive First Aid/CPR training

     

    This is a continental shift. Shift alternates between 3 shifts a week and 4 shifts a week with every other weekend off. Hours are 8:00-6:00AM during our season (April-Nov). *Note, if the site is empty with no overnight guests, Warden’s will be called off for the night.
