Experience landscapes similar to that of the deep south and tropics; towering Sycamore and Black Walnut trees covered with grape and Virginia Creeper vines lends Big Creek its nick-name, the “Canadian Amazon”. You just may catch a glimpse of a soaring Bald Eagle, one of the rivers resident beavers or white-tailed deer.

This 10 km, 3- 4 hour off-site kayaking adventure is perfect for first time paddlers, yet simultaneously offers a few challenges to hold the interest of experienced kayakers. Guests have an opportune moment to navigate the lush greenery and native fauna that engulfs the steep banks of this 60 km watershed. You will be paddling like an expert when we reach our destination in historic Port Royal.

Come overcome the distinguished natural features of the wetlands!
