Removed from the civilization of Southern Ontario, Big Creek has carved a deep channel into the Norfolk Sand Plain providing guests with a very relaxing wilderness experience. The Creek is bordered by towering Sycamore and Black Walnut trees, often shrouded with lianas, which delivers an experience similar to the deep south and tropics. The forest and understory of abundant shrubs, ferns, and forbs provides prime habitat for over a hundred species of birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles. Bald Eagles, Red-tailed Hawks, Wood Ducks, Baltimore Orioles, Northern Cardinals, and many species of warblers are often seen while drifting quietly down the Creek.

Experienced guides will share their knowledge of the geology, ecology, and culture of this exceptional ecosystem which is part of the United Nations designated Long Point World Biosphere.

We welcome you with 'open paddles' to this most unique and beautiful natural area of Southwestern Ontario.
