Workshop Description: Whether you are walking cross country or in the woods there are some essential skills that every hiker should know before their journey begins. Join up with local naturalist, photographer and educator Leanne Gauthier-Helmer for a fun filled and informative workshop where she will be sharing some of her hints and tips to help make any hike a safe and successful adventure for you and your family. The workshop will include a hike. Topics to be discussed will be; risk management, what to pack, how to dress, boot and backpack essentials, and some survival basics - what to do in an emergency. This workshop is rain or shine, all levels of hikers are welcome.
Cost: $50/person
